I have used so many different brands of cordless power tools, and only two stuck out. My dad is a contractor and swears by the 18 volt dewalt drills. He has at least 5 for his crew. He never has had problems. I own a hilti 14 volt and have been massivley impressed. The drill and batteries are about 20 years old and have never failed. In my opinion, for the money, you can't gi wrong with the dewalt multi packs. Drill, saws, ect. All work great.

I am just a home user, but have had about every brand of power tool there is at some point, and I have had the best luck with the newer Bosch stuff. I have a bosch 14.4 that I love. I use the drill/driver the most.

I also have a bosch worm drive circular saw a sidewinder saw, a jigsaw, and a detail sander, but in those more seldom used tools I buy the corded version, or in the case of the circular saws - no cord but a plug you plug an extension cord into - greatest thing ever, IMO.

i have a dewalt corded 3/8 drill that I have chuck issues with, and a dewalt Miter saw that I have no problems with. A dewalt corded 4" angle grinder that seems pretty durable.

I have some older craftsman power tools that I don't use much, but they work, and a big B&D 1/2 drill, and a big angle grinder that both still work fine when I need them.

I've reached the point where I prefer corded power tools rather than cordless for most applications except very light duty and where electrical cords are not practical.

From my experience with Craftsman and Dewalt cordless drills I can say there is no comparison Dewalt is hands down better. I'm surprised people think C-man stuff is comparable or better. I want to know what drill you are using....

I got the Makita BDF452 which came with a mini cordless impact driver, a charger, (2) 18v lithium-ion batteries, and a bag. That package sells at Home Depot for $250, but I've seen/ bought it on sale for $200. Anyways, no complaints.. I got it in the beginning of the year, and they both get heavy to moderate use.

I had a 18V dewalt 6pc set for about 4yrs and the batteries are JUNK. I had 7 batteries and if I tried to do any medium duty grinding it took everyone of those batteries to get the job done. The tools I had no problem with. I almost bought a couple of the Nano batteries but decided on a Makita lithium drill impact combo. I absolutely love it. sold the entire dewalt set(6tools,7 bat, 2chargers one was car charger) for $350. Go to your fav box store and play with all the brands and see which you like best.

if quality is a concern both are low end tools. If your just want something cheap by a ryobi or something....
