I have that set, but mine came in a very thin plastic tray. I like them, but I'm not a woodworker, so I don't use them a lot.
I like the handles, they've got a striking cap, and IIRC the chisel shank runs thru to the cap. I bought mine ~10 years ago, right when they were being discontinued. I have no idea what the list price was then, but not overly expensive as per the Craftsman norm.
If you have a nicer set and are just looking for something to use for beater type work, then I think these would be fine.
One of mine had a very minor issue on the sharpening at the tip, but I was able to correct it in a few minutes by hand on a sharpening stone.
Edit: I found the email and FWIW, I paid $31 in 2013. I bought them on Amazon as I think they were already gone from Sears. I don't remember if they changed the style, or what, at this time.
