Craftsman workbench on Craigslist

Is this a decent workbench? The owner states its around 5 years old, it looks a bit overpriced to me:

it is an ok bench but for the money, they sell better....I got one with a 1.5 inch thick top, 8 feet long. It was about the same price and it is a NICE bench!

I have that same bench with a galvanized top. I think I paid that for it new almost 6 years ago.

My opinion is that it's super flimsy and I'll be getting rid of mine when I move in a couple months and looking for (or building) one that is more sturdy.

I would have to really need it at $275.00, I would not want to pay anymore than $200.00 at that I would still have an extreme need... Do you need it?

I have bought 3 similar ones on craigslist. The ones I have purchased had 5 drawers and a cabinet door. They did not have the pegboard included. I never paid more than $100 each.

$275 is way to much in my opinion

LOL - I have a three drawer unit like that, paid $140 NEW on sale. For a two drawer like that - $100 tops if it's clean and in good condition. And I mean CLEAN. They are decent, but thin metal and if not cared for will dent/scratch easy. sounds like that boy paid list price.

Thanks for the opinions, I did not buy it. I was looking for something to fit in a 4-foot space in my new (to me) garage. I wanted something ready to go. I think I'm going to end up building one out of 2x4 and OSB.

Yeah, I have the same thing without the back and I think it was more like $200 new. I di like it a lot though.

I agree!! Sounds like the guy is trying to recover what he paid for it!!!

Offer a hundred if you like it ... there are better buys around for less money.
