Craftsman Wrench & Socket ???

Guys just have a dumb ???. After looking at the verious wrench & socket sets on the sears website, iv noticed some sets are named "PROFESSIONAL" and some not.
1.Does craftsman have two lines of tools?
2.Is there a difference in the quality(professional vs non-professional)?
3.Does there warrany apply to both lines?

I have also noticed they now have a "titanium blue" or some thing like that. Not sure I would buy it but I'm also curious from those who know.

The Titanium is just an electroplating, and to me, a gimmick. The Craftsman Pro line is different than their raised panel line. My experience has been that the Pro line is significantly higher quality as in better fit and more durable. There are a couple garages in my area that use almost nothing but Craftsman Pro line.

I just started picking up some of the cman professional tools and they are very nice for the money.

I believe the Craftsman Pro series is just a case of you get what you pay for. In the case of wrenches you get more polishing and a little extra length and you pay a little more for it. The screwdrivers have a big soft handle and maybe a better tip on them and hopefully they don't end up stinking like my old plastic handle screwdrivers do. LOL, but like I said the pro series gets you a little better tool for a little extra money.

I have the screwdrivers and have been really happy with them, alot nicer than the new "cheap" ones that crafstman is making. I also but the flare nut wrench set:

All feel great, look great and really fit a lot better. And a whole lot cheaper than snap ons, of course I am a weekend mechanic.

Yeah, there is a difference. As the name implies, the Pro line is geared towards the more serious tool user. You may more, but you are buying a better tool most of the time.

Pro screwdrivers have a better shank, nicer handle and "pro" features, like a hex on the shank. The Pro wrenches are Fully polished and longer, similar to Snap On, Matco etc. They are definetly a higher quality than the standard raised panel wrenches, and you will notice this if you are using them rather frequently. Easier to clean up and a more precisely made tool. Downside is they are alot more expensive than the regular ones. At the end of the day, the raised panels will still get the job done just fine.

Yes, the Warranty generally applies to both lines, although some items like torque wrenches will only have a 90 day or 1 year warranty.
