Craftsman wrenches in 32nd increments

I know that Craftsman makes some open end ignition wrenches that come in smaller sizes of 32nd increments and a raised panel combination wrench that's 11/32". What I'm really looking for are Craftsman open end, raised panel, wrenches that were 19/32" and 21/32". I recently purchased a Craftsman raised panel, double open end wrench that's 25/32" x 13/16".

Does/Did Craftsman make similar wrenches that included an open end 19/32" size and an open end 21/32" size? If so, are any for sale? Thanks.

I had one just like that... 25/32 by 13/16....
I had warrentied, they gave a 11/16 by 13/16

yes they made them
they were alost common back in the day
if they are available anymore they may have them in their catalog but I doubt it

look for used ones, they are not popular and therefore not valuable

do you actually need them or just want them?

FWIW, I recall reading once that the 32nd increments were used almost exclusively on early Fords, including the Ford-manufactured Jeeps from WWII. The only Craftsman piece I have is a 10 1/2" long double offset box end in 19/32 and 25/32, markings are as follows:

19/32 === CRAFTSMAN === 25/32
19/32 == FORGED IN U.S.A. =v= 25/32

No model number, but maybe the =v= stamp might help point you in the right direction?

The answer is both. I have actually run across a need for them.....well sort of anyway. Lately I've been tinkering with some old Delta woodworking machinery from the 1950s and I've found a few instances where some of the original nuts and bolts are sized in 32nd increments. Metric wrenches seem to work okay and are much closer in size than the next SAE wrench, but I'd rather have the exact size wrench for the job if possible...even if that means it's a wrench that's on a 32nd increment. Then there's the insane part of me that just wants to buy a few more tools, and also has a thing against working on vintage, USA made, SAE fasteners, with metric size tools.

I've seen this wrench and Craftsman still sells a version of it. I was hoping to find some open end wrenches versus box end wrenches.

I see the double open ends at the flea all the time. Combos and dbl boxes also. I think I have all of them in both 19/32 and 25/32 including 1/2 drive sockets. The sets I bought in the '70's had them included.

Lately I've been tinkering with some old Delta woodworking machinery from the 1950s and I've found a few instances where some of the original nuts and bolts are sized in 32nd increments.

Guess I've been lucky, as I've not found any 32nds nuts and bolts on the many Deltas I've wrenched. Some square head nuts and bolts are so sloppy in size the nominal size fits loosely.

Now, on early Ford stuff, there are several 32nds, such as Model A connecting rods.

I can't remember specifically what, but I do remember that there were some 19/32 fasteners on my '48 Desoto. Had to buy a 19/32 deepwell for something on the motor.

Did anyone ever find out why they took the open stock listings out of the Craftsman catalog in the first place?

It had to have cost them sales. Most of the sales droids that I've dealt with over the last few years at Sears, are pretty much clueless without a part number. If you need something that isn't on the shelf and if you don't have a catalog number, it can be almost as painful as pulling teeth.

All of the old timers that used to work there that actually knew what they were doing when it came to hand tools have either retired or died off I guess.
