Your point?

So sears can sell products wit poor quality control backed up by piss poor customer service and we shouldn't complain?

Was simply what I stated, Craftsmen has essentially always been a private label that outsources everything. It's not a new development for them.

Of course Sears can sell junk, made in China by the lowest tender/bid for production, to Americans while at the same time proclaiming that they're an American label... just like Ralph Lauren, and providing customer service imported from K-Mart... because, people are still buying it.

I bought the same set for 50% off a few months ago and was missing 2 sockets and one was not stamped at all. Went to the local sears with my receipt and they just gave me the 2 sockets and exchanged the non-stamped one, no problems at all

Sears is always hit and miss like that

I went to sears today to investigate this. Here is what I found. Many if not all of the ratchets were made in either Tiawan or China. Sockets (chrome) made in USA, Weenches USA some screwdrivers China most though USA. I would really hate to see a tool brand that I have used since I started using tools to go overseas but I can see it happening. China has cheap steel.
