I have not. A couple of years ago I bought the "every size we make in 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2" set and I didn't have a problem with any of them...

Yeah, I got some of the non-laser sockets that came with the 204pc set, and they were horrible... then I saw a couple other people who bought the same set and also recieved horrible sockets.

Then I decided to give them another go, and picked up the 94pc set that comes with the laser sockets, and they are MUCH, MUCH better. The chrome is even a different color.

I'm very satisfied with the laser sockets I currently have. They are quite nice for the money, and it's always nice to buy USA when feasible.

I almost swore off Craftsman after that bad batch of sockets, but I decided to give them another chance since I had some Pro combos in the mail.

When the combos came, they were so superb that I decided to give the sockets another try, and I'm happy I did.

After that, I picked up the 1/4" and 3/8" thin ratchets, and they now are by far my favorites. They're just wonderful to use.

People always sing praise of the GW ratcheting combos, but I have to say the Craftsman Pro combos have superior fit and finish... I paid $39.99 a set on sale and I'd say it's one of the best purchases I've ever made.

I can't say the quality is as good as it's always been, but if it stays at this level, with this price, I'll be happy to stay loyal.
