They currently have 10% off online orders. I've tried twice to order the pro torx driver set and a couple pro screwdrivers and neither time has the order went through.
Anyway, just had to rant. I've had it with their website!

We've all seen that. Not fun. But the site is properly designed in one sense: while you sometimes don't get the discounts you're expecting, they take great care making sure no accidental discounts are given. So somebody's paying attention, just not in the direction of making sure customers easily get the discounts that are advertised.

I never use craftsman.com, try sears.com instead. I just added a cman pro torx set to my cart and it took off 10% without issue.

I have long since sworn off using either Sears or Craftsman's websites. Had enough headaches, hours on the phone trying to locate my delayed packages and BS excuses and lies from their reps.

When I once asked about why the site wasn't working for tracking my order or something like that, they transferred me to a department that handles website issues. I explained to the woman, who sounded about 80, what was going on. "Oh, I don't know why it's doing that. We can't help you." :wtf:

Don't even get me started on the horrible packing jobs or all the factory defects I had to return to the store or ship back to get replaced.

My new policy is anything I can't buy from Sears/Craftsman at a brick-n-mortar gets bought from eBay or, if I really need it, another brand. Couldn't care less if I have to pay 5x as much for the name, I just won't deal with the aggravation anymore. YMMV, but that's my $.02 anyway.

Don't get me started. The item, a double ended box wrench for example .... they don't even put in the size of the wrench. Is it a 10x12mm ? Don't know ! Amazing. The person in charge of overseeing the website should be fired.

Keep in mind, Sears.com is now a "marketplace", which means that other companies can list their stuff. This is a terrible idea in my opinion, and only continues to dilute what used to be the awesome Sears Catalog, but I guess it's what they feel like doing.

You could also; call the order in over the phone... I can't guarantee it will be a perfect order but just a thought! :) Tool Catalog: 1-800-425-8279

I really do ot get that move either. When I look up tools it lists other brands as well as sites, makes no sense....:headscrat. you'd think they would only want to sell you cman stuff from their own stores!

But yes, saying anything about Sears web sucking is like saying the sky is blue.....:lol_hitti

All is better now. Got my order to finally go through after my initial post.
Went and picked up my torx drivers and screwdrivers today.:bounce:
I suppose it would be easier to just go to sears and buy what i want but the online prices are always cheaper than the instore price.
Anyway, I feel better now.

I've gone thru the same thing too. What ends up happening is I call and talk to CS, who sends an email to IT, who fixes it within the day. Stupid, but whatever. Their web site does blow.

Keep in mind, Sears used to be a "marketplace" of sorts, they were the original mail order company. Sold all kinds of products, basically the offline version of Amazon. But, just like Palm products, the original gets lazy and gets eclipsed.

We all know that I had to order online pick up in store take it to the tool dept. The guy behind the counter had to return it and re sell it to me said they have to do this everytime there is a online sale. Said the website is screwed up I thought no ****.
