I’m a Craigslist junkie. Not a good thing. Picked up two Harbor Freight sand blast cabinets for $100. Got there and he threw in a dust collector. It appears that it’s worth more than the cabinets. Now I have a project to make one good cabinet out of the two and get it all working.

Thanks. I’ll get one of them working as best as I can before trying that trick. But it would be cool. They both need new gloves. One needs a new glass. The blast nozzles are pretty crappy. But I’ve got some pretty good nozzles laying around. Need a filter for the dust collector. It’s not much more than a shop vac. There are tons of modification ideas available for these things on line.

I have more questions than answers.
Nice score.

If you don't have need for a larger size you might want to have them both setup with different media. 1 with glass beads the other with slag or soda blasting, maybe even wet blasting.

Nice score, the dust collector was worth that. I’m waiting on TPTools to open back up to get my dust collector

I agree with Ratdoggy that TP Tools in Canfield, Ohio has a huge selection of sand blasting equipment.

Technically you only need one pair of gloves once they are bolted/welded together. Put the left glove in the right side hole on the right cabinet, & put the right glove in the left side hole in the right cabinet & then block off the two outer holes.
