Definitely did good. In some parts, the stand alone is worth more than you paid.

Basically you bought the saw and got the stand for free. Good luck with the light.

That is a curious serial number plate. As I understand it, that style belongs to the 1940's but I have never seen a number formatted like that. I believe you are right about the machine being 1950's.

'C 102'

I wonder if they had some of those plates left over and decided to use them initially for the Homecraft machines? I also wonder if they initially used a different numbering system for the Homecraft models. Have you fond any specific reference to the date? This is my source:

Looks better than the pictures on craigslist showed, it's usually the other way around. Definite suckage.

Yeah I've been seeing the same as you with the odd s/n. I mailed delta customer service to see if I could get more info. I found this which has the same plate and single alpha digit.

well for now I just rigged up a bike light I had laying around. 900 lumens should be enough I think!
