I regularly check Craigslist but have been suffering a bit of a dry spell, nothing much of interest and the few things I have seen, I haven't gotten a response on.
This week seems to have made up for that a bit. Here goes:

Buy #1 ($75 Bulk Buy)

English made planes and scrapers, German flush cut saw and reamer, Disston box saw:

Not pictured, 2nd new Ryobi drill, battery, and charger, and two additional newer Makita batteries.

This guy must have gone through a lot of drill bits. Second generation Kreg Jig.
003.jpg

A 3" Forstner Bit? The wrenches and sockets are mostly Craftsman and a few Proto and Select Steel.
004.jpg

Veritas and Lee Valley . . .
005.jpg

August 1979 toolbox in great condition. The bottom drawer had a can of gasket seal spilled into it but it was easy to clean up.

Anybody recognize this item? Oh and don't be too envious, that is a pencil sharpener with a belt clip!
007.jpg

The 'junk' pile, mostly Taiwanese AllTrade (new) and some Indian wrenches. Very little in the way of Chinese material in the whole collection.

That alone would have made for a great week but then I happened to call on a couple of oil cans I had seen in another ad.

Buy #2 ($45)

15" Crescent, 24" Ridgid, mostly Snap-On Sockets, Proto and Craftsman ratchets, Stahlwille breaker bar, 200° to 700° thermometer,
1 each Yamaha and Heyco (BMW) motorcycle wrenches, ...
001.jpg

The oil cans I went for in the first place. We had agreed on $3 each before I arrived.

Rock Island 4"

There are a few things here that are new to me.
Item 'A' is made by Armstrong. I assume it just provides a handhold? The collar swivels.
Item 'B' is a Craftsman. Maybe for removing an old post?
Items 'C' are Snap-On (67A & 67B). I assume they convert a 1/2" breaker bar to a ratchet?
Item 'D' is unmarked. Why would you need this?
Item 'E' is a Bonney RF16. ?
Item 'F' is a Bonney RF4. ?
Time for some research. The two in the upper right corner are Mustang Brand. Never heard of it but they looked like they could be handy.

Some more interesting items. A sight glass of some sort, two Blue Point chisels for what I don't know, and three German Belzer Super Block wrenches.
Never heard of Belzer either.

I also happened to stop in at Habitat Restore this week.
Looking at furniture, I walked by one rack three times before I finally 'looked' at it. This caught my attention ($20):

Anybody recognize that logo? Never know what you are going to find. Had to disassemble it to get it into the truck (3' W x 6' H x 11" D) so that's all you get for now.
I plan to rebuild it into a proper shelf. It's all steel and I believe held film canisters, stored on edge.

Now to sell the stuff I don't need . . .

no pic handy but i have a PLVMB ratchet that has no drive. just a 1/2" square hole that an adaptor like yours drops in than a socket fits onto that.

two Blue Point chisels for what I don't know

Can't be sure from the single view, but they're either cape chisels or round-nose chisels. The one on the right has its point ground wrong regardless.

If they have a single rounded edge, like the one on the left looks like it might have, they're round nose chisels, used in the old days for cutting oil grooves in plain (sleeve) bearings or bearing inserts, and also for cutting inside concave shapes.

If both edges (sides) are flat, they're cape chisels, used for cutting straight grooves or channels, like keyways.

Thanks, yes, I think I've seen one of those.

You're kidding me, right? **** man, that No4 Bailey is potentially $75 by itself. Nice haul...

Bailey #5 :D or the tool box . . .

Interesting. Yes one has clearly been reground. Thanks for giving them names, I will go do some reading.

Good hauls. Major suckage on those prices!

I think most of your questions got answered but Mustang socket tools were another line produced by New Britain.

I think that short Craftsman ratchet is made by New Britain as well. Thanks.
