Motor-sharing was very common for home workshop tools in the early-mid 20th-century era, due to the fact that electric motors were very expensive.

Heck, this even carried over into the 1960s and 1970s when it was still fairly common to have double-shafted motors driving different things. I've still got one of those double-ended Craftsman 3/4HP motors in my garage right now, as well as a couple of belt-driven arbors used for grinding wheels, buffers, wire wheels, and the like.

No different than multiple tools sharing a battery pack when you really think about it.:D

I think the $150 asking-price is not going to attract anyone, but if it works, I think he could see $40-50. If you hooked it to one of those 8 gallon tanks, it probably could be used for filling tires, or other light duty.

No serious shop is complete without one of these:

https://madison.craigslist.org/tls/d/1hp-air-compressor/6559460820.html[/

This is a tankless air compressor. You can add a tank. It has a 1hp westinghouse electric motor. Can be wired 115 or 230. Currently wired 115v. No hose included but has a nice big guage with a quick connect and shut off valve. Cart is very sturdy with solid rubber tires

I've been looking for a craftsman 113.xxxx table saw. Came across this one, says the heavy amount of rust is just from it being in the garage. Not being stored outside.

$400

is this a craigslist dreamer or is this what stuff like this is going for??

Just go on LA section of craigslist and type in "Ben Klein." He's got a ton of "cars" for sale. Looks like more or less scrap value to me.

Not sure but I wonder if it's like a "buy the VIN get the car for free kind of deal"? Might be worth the money to turn a replica 356 into a "real" 356?

Whatever the reason for the crazy prices, it's pretty cool to look at those pictures. I mean some say they were wrecked or last registered in the 70s and 80s. I think it's neat to wonder why they were saved for so long in that condition and where they have been hiding for so long.

LMAO! Yeah, CL ads in and around major cities in TX are full of ****. If it says Snap-on they usually want 120% of new, boxes near list price, crappy rust heaps of cars and motorcycles at more than 100% concourse prices, etc. etc... Then when I do spot something and contact the seller they turn out to be the biggest flakes ever.
I've all but given up on CL.

Thy guy with the antique table might be able to sell it to an interior designer for thousands to place into a well heeled client's house or garage. :)

https://albuquerque.craigslist.org/tls/d/delta-planer/6692131001.html

Delta planer, $500. Since this is the desert, it's probably been outdoors for a decade to get that rusty. It's missing the keys on the pulleys.

And they didn't even respect it enough to throw a couple $5 tarps over it, but now they want top dollar.

Then you have the morons who are selling 30 year old ATV's for like $1,000. "Ran great when parked. Just needs something minor. Can't remember what it needs, but it was something minor."

And it's sitting there in the picture amongst other junk, outside, never covered.
