Found this locally a couple months ago now. I think it's a 12 or 20 ton press (can't tell by the hydraulic jack...no markings) but it has this really cool 2 speed hydraulic control box AND a cable driven hand crank that makes raising/lowering the base plates simple. Everything works fine. Just needs a complete disassembly/cleanup/paint/reassembly some day when I get my shop built.

it's about 6 feet tall overall, and seems larger than the typical HF presses.

A hunderd bucks and it was mine.

That thing is sweet. I've been searching for an old press to upgrade my HF for a long time. Hard to find for what ever reason.

Very cool. It reminds me of my Acra press. No luck finding a name anywhere?

Nice press. It is amazing that more of these don't survive. They are rare. They must get abused and when the get ugly people throw them away. Or something. You have a true treasure there.

There are no markings anywhere on the press itself. The hydraulic box with levers has a sticker on it "Wm. S. Pine, Inc. Los Angeles, CA". (speaking of wood gungatim...he he he).

A google search only showed a scan of a very old magazine ad with the hydraulic box advertised by Wm. S. Wood Inc.
