Someone with the cash could prob do well to buy (I'm pretty sre 12K cash would buy it) and then breat it down and sell it could prob double their money. I would have to have a really good look before I forked out that much cash

Same-old-same-old there's a virtually identical ad been running locally here for months. "Too much to list, but everything you need for a complete automotive shop - $17,000"

No one buys all the well-used tools at once to start into being a tech or opening a shop. Just not gonna happen. Also, guaranteed, most of these, the tools will be a well-worn mixed bag of stuff. Because the going-out-of-business guy has been looking at it for years, he doesn't realize how beat some of it has gotten.

If there were actually $17,000 worth of tools, it would take weeks or months of work to sort, clean, price, advertise, answer queries and sell them a set at a time. Since neither of these sellers wants to put that much effort into it, they aren't going to git 'er done.

Some months back, a lazy-but-stubborn guy waited until the day he had to be on the road with a full truck of household goods. The SO said, "that isn't coming with us." He was really lucky he had a good friend who gave him $2500 cash for what would have been $10,000 worth of tools if he'd made the effort to retail them.

There's a guy around here with a garage full of beat up *** tools that A) Won't separate. and B) says he'll only consider a trade of a property deed worth at least 60k. Yeah. Good luck with that, *****.
