Man I think I may just keep this one.
It is laser marked SDDP42 no other markings. I have been with SO for 8 years and have never seen one. I called my fellow tool junkie ( snap on industrial rep now ) and he has only seen one in his 25 years of playing with shiny tools...

That brown is pretty trick.. not too long ago someone had a mint brown old style hard handle (tennite or whatever they were) but I hadn't ever seen one in the new style in brown. Pretty cool!

PS.. so lemme ask.. since you are a S/O rep.. do you keep that stuff for personal collection or do you hit the pawn shops and resell them as used outta your truck? Just curious.

I keep the stuff. especially the rare hard to find items. I do not have a lot of my own personal tools, I do not have any time to use them for anything. only if the truck breaks down.

Didn't think this was worthy of a new thread but I search CL pretty often for lathes just to get an idea of what's around (can't afford one right now). Anyway, here are a couple that came up that look to be good deals but I don't know my *** from a hole in the ground when it comes to these:

Entry level, mini Smithy with some tooling. Asking $1000 (retail over $3k). Looks really nice.

Been listed for a long time. Brand not listed. $1500:

Cool if you like turn of the century (?) vintage and a project:

Yikes, but make an offer:

Friggin huge and only $1500:

Only says "thread cutting" but wouldn't it do more? Pricey at $5500.

Gorgeous Southbend. $2100:
