Looks like there might be a couple collector goodies in there. Also the one socket set in that case could be worth the trip alone.

Yes it would worth your time to take a look I see the nice socket sets and several old punches and chisels; a few plumbing tools and several old hand held braces. His price is ok not the best and not the worst by a long shot.

I am thinking the guy might have some more nice things in the bottom of the box. Most times in my area when people put these kind of deals together you can be sure they put all kinds of modern junk in the tool boxes (mostly Chinese tools); but this does not look to be the case as the items in the pictures look to be very old and American made.

If you do buy it we want pictures and lots of them!:rocker:

See just what I said in post #5 if you look at the following it is filled with a lot of Chinese made tools and the price is high for what they are asking:

On the other hand your guy is showing a lot of great old tools well worth the trip.

This week I had to rant to one of the GJ members I too looked at a fantastic CL ad and even though the pictures were so fuzzy and bad I could tell the guy had Wright factory seconds with the names ground off.

This was the add see if you can ID the wrenches:

To make a long story short the Women would not let me come that night she said the sale was in two days at 7am on Saturday. I was the first in line in the Dark and sure enough wright wrenches, names grounded off (am I good) The husband says" all sold to a old Hillbilly from Kentucky last night". Sometimes things ****! Op get over there ASAP.

It all depends on how close you are and what tools you already have. I don't see $100 worth in those pictures, but if it was close by, I'd probably go look. Then again, I don't need anything I could see in the picture.

Update: I purchased the tools. I am very happy with what I found, every single tool is high quality stuff nothing chinese or taiwan. There was hundreds of stuff all together, the sockets were part craftsman and snap on all vintage stuff. One box was filled with American wrenches, another box filled with files , and punches. Hammers, ball peen hammers, car body hammers, small clamps, box full of saws, the list goes on guys. Also alot of German and English tools also. I'll try to post a picture of everything one by one because there is just too much and I haven't gone through everything yet. Thanks guys I'll keep you updated!
