To my knowledge the pro series was replaced by their 4s, 5s, and 6s boxes. Ask him to look at the production tag and it should have a build date on it. Either way $800 is a great price. Be sure that it is the depth you need, I think matco boxes are either 22" or 25" deep. Either way if I needed a box and had the cash I would be all over it.

Just as a baseline for matco boxes. Their 22" deep 4s box retails at $3200.

One more thing about matco boxes. I used to have the 25" deep double bay 4s box. I really hated it. I disliked the way they divided the drawers. They just split the box down the middle and make each drawer the same length. I MUCH prefer snap ons boxes, they are about 70/30 split instead of a 50/50. The matco box was great, but I couldnt get over the drawer thing so I got rid of it. Just something to keep in mind.

I am not really need a toolbox as I already has huge snap on boxes at my work and I has multiple boxes at my garage.. But price made me consider..

So youve already got something like 4 boxes and your looking at getting a new one? :lol_hitti Would this one be replacing an older box at home?

Thats why i got a snap on box. Kinda pointless to have every drawer the same size.

Deaf, that is a very good deal if the box is in good shape. If its in great shape, its a you **** deal. I sell those for around $1200 to $1500 in nice shape. You would never get that much money on CL though.

Andy, That's the Proformance box. MB4725 if I remember correctly. It's now the 4225R. I hope this helps.

yeah.. i did worked with the tech who had similar of that performance serie box... i was a internship and i did used to open and get somethings for the tech when the tech and i was worked together as team. i do like that box when i was young but it would be good for my home use but i am not REALLY need it.

i already has MSC12, Lista bottom box, Masterforce full wide drawers box, 8 drawers craftsman top chest, Mac tool bottom box as from 1970's, Stanley's top chest as West coast chopper set, two middle boxes mount on bottom craftsman project box... those are at my own garage...

for my living career, i has a snap on KRL1203, KRL1003, MSC4 cart, craftsman bottom 6 full wide drawers(41 Inches wide) with Harbor freight locker on it...

if it was local i'd buy it in a heart beat for that money. my wok box is a proformance top/bottom that is 52 ? inches wide and filled. that would go nice right next to my current box. 800 bucks, i made worse decisions that cost more than that.

That's a decent box for a pretty good price. I'd pick it up if I had a need, I had one, paid $850 for it, sold it to my Dad for $800 when I bought my KRL.

$800.00 is an awesome deal provided the box is in decent shape. As I recall that box is about 25" deep, I used to work with a guy that had one. Those boxes are trading for around $1300-1500 nowadays.

I'd buy that box in a heart beat, even if you turn around and sell it, the worse you can do is break even. Chances are you'd even make a few coins if you have the time. Granted, after setting it in my garage, I doubt I'd be willing to part with it!
