Saw a Rockwell vertical metal/wood band saw posted for 50 bucks also saw a Enco bench top mill posted for 250, I contacted the lady about the band saw by phone and email about the mill but no immediate respond on the mill. I went to get the band saw and saw the mill sitting there and said that I had email about it and would take them both but had no way to load the mill until I got a trail and a few guys, they said they would save it for me the next day I went back and was able to get the mill with some tooling and rotary table. She said at least 20 people had contacted her at all hours of the night I gave her an extra
20 for saving it for me.

People like to insult the little round column import mills. I however love mine. I think you scored some suckage. The rotary table and tooling is easily $250, though I'm pretty sure some of the tooling in the container looks like it is for a horizontal mill. I doubt that little ENCO has the HP to spin some of those big cutters.

Oh yeah, YOU **** for sure. Good score, if those horizontal cutters are 7/8" bore, I may be interested.

Hi,

How much did you pay for the Rockwell wood-metal band saw? That is one very fine saw. Oh, and more pics of it please.

Great find! I just bought one of those saws this past Saturday!! It's model 28-207 built in 1959. Someone is cleaning out a deceased family members house and gave it to my brother to haul off for scrap! He was trying to make room on the trailer for more scrap (and to get me to help them lift a mower onto the trailer) so he asked what I would give for it. I really was interested when I saw it was a metal/wood saw since I've been been wanting a metal band saw. He didn't know if it ran or not so we negotiated a little and I got it for 25.00! I put 2 new tires on it yesterday and it run's fine except I need the 4 step pulley for the motor and a belt. So if anyone has one , let me know. Can't wait to start restoring it. Never had one before.
