Last week I picked up a RUC tool box for my young son who loves to be in the garage with his Daddy. I paid $25 for it. It's made in Taiwan but is in great shape, has nice patina, and is a perfect starter box for a 5 year old. While I'm there, the guy shows me a Milwaukee Model 3000 Trans-Lift. He gives me a price and I said I'll think about it. I did some research on here and didn't get much response and there isn't much on the internet about it either. Well I went back yesterday and grabbed it for $50. He threw in a Cordomatic 900 cord reel and a crusty old Sears Super Analyzer. Its a display piece at best but still cool nonetheless. The cord reel just needs a new cord. I thought I did pretty well for $75. I plan on restoring the Trans Lift which actually still works.

Unless one drops a lot of trannies. Can slide it under a workbench/counter if there's room under the bottom shelf.

Check the contacts in the cord reel before investing in a new cord. That's the usual failure mode.......

If the jack saves your back 1 time, it's money well spent.

LED bulbs make those cordomatics one of the best things ever. No burnt elbows, and you have amps to spare for whatever you plug in to it.

A box just like that was my first toolbox it was $20 with tools in it about 10 years ago

Thanks guys. I'm going to put some of my spares in it for my son to use. He's only 2 but loves being in the garage with me.

The trans jack was just too cool to pass up especially since it works and is in great shape. I might restore it or keep it till I need it which will happen one day.

The cord reel will also be refurbished for me to use. I just like old ****.
