Craigslist seller - lost out on an old Wilton

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. I never-said, "I'll hold it for you until Friday," or whenever, unless someone gives me a partial payment, and I provide them with a receipt as I stated.

Something like the glass doors, they're on their own. If they need to make arrangements to get a truck and helpers, or whatever equipment they need to move the material, if they pay, I'll give them time to return, but if they can't come back for two weeks, I will politely-refuse the sale, and tell them they're free to call me in two-weeks, to see if I still have the material.

I once sold in the recent past, three Pontiac V8's and four TH-400's, and a bunch of other parts, delivering them across-state when the buyer paid me for the goods and transportation. The buyer was looking for date-code 389 V8's for restorations, and he got a heckuva deal. I loaded everything by myself using a U-Haul and a cherry-picker, and it was all chained-down and strapped to prevent shifting loads underway. It all got delivered safely from Miami to Tampa.

Or best offer can go either way. Think about it.
One knothead seller did not understand OBO. He was selling a bunch of LISTA cabinets for $200 each. I offered $500 for each and he still sold to the other buyer. 5 cabinets for $1000 is a lot less money than $2500 for the same 5 cabinets.

One thing I've learned over the years from buying and selling different things is that the from the seller's point of view, the best offer isn't necessarily the highest offer. I have sold things to the lower offer because it was the easier offer to complete or because even though the first offer was lower, the person making the second, higher offer was simply an ***.
