Is it for sale or just being offered for consideration. Guy sounds like a bit of a ******, tell him you agree after consideration and conferring with your associates it should be insured for $60. Antique vice roadshow.

I have an FPU vise that this one is patterned after. It's a nice vise. I'd give $60 for another. Not sure how well made this copy is.

I don't really NEED another vise, I was just curios and didn't want to waste my time if it is just a cheap knock off of a FPU. It looks good enough but not sure how it is "rare".... Thanks guys

Is that a Snap-On "S" on it?

I believe it is a FPU copy, not an original. I had one like it with the jaw size number on the dynamic like yours. After cleaning it up I found "India" on the retaining collar.

That said, it looked to be well made and with the gibs adjusted properly was very smooth. The only odd thing about it was that the jaws were slightly misaligned to the direction of the dynamic. They met up nicely but had been machined at a slight angle to the direction of jaw travel.

Thanks jreb10! That does look like the exact same brand of vise. Do you recall how much it weighed? Do you have any larger pics of your vise? I can't seem to figure out how to re-size your pics in the post, just clicks up still being small.

I don't remember the weight but I recall that I did not consider it underweight. It seemed quite solid and very functional. Part of me wishes I had kept it rather than waiting for a real FPU that still has not materialized.

Those pics were resized to post here a couple of years ago and they are the only ones remaining. I deleted the full size versions some time ago. Sorry.
