Anybody that lives where there's hurricanes or tornados or earthquakes (pretty much covers the whole country) might be interested in this thing if you have an emergency kit. They say cranking it for a minute will give you 15 minutes of light but mine has been on for well over an hour. I'll let it run dead and give it the test. Pretty nice for 10 bucks (Lee Valley tools).

i had a crank flashlight one time, it worked fine when it was new, but by the time i needed to use it, it had died :(
