did not want a lot of color to keep the garage neutral.. or the typical garage art... ex: car , girl, race signange, etc. ... Wanted to go with something that was distinctive and fun. I just let him do what he wanted with him knowing I grew up around the ocean most of my life. Some will love it and some will not... as with anything :ROFLMAO: ( but already 2 publications and a tv show asked if they can shoot it) - Keep in mind this is just 1/8th of one wall space with all the other walls mostly white, and with the mylar chrome ceiling the garage is bright.

I absolutely love this, and I love how SUBTLE the art is with color (though beautifully bold for content). The mood with the ocean, ship, and the Kraken is incredible. You're right, the gray lets the cars shine. This is precisely why I'm keeping my own garage so neutral with grays and black, though I may add a red Tesla wall with logo.

I'm an artist myself and I gotta say, this guy's art is top notch—especially for doing it freehand!

Not Ken's garage, but that was his car. The MK2 was the first Ford Rally car he ever drove, the first hoonigan Gymkana car and the one in all of the video games. 9000 rpm terror ;)
Another parking lot striper ride??. Hey where's your other striper, the malibu?

The collection is really coming along nicely Jorgen.

The Falcon is slick. Anyone have a link to a build thread/article on it?

I know that car and it was a the inspiration for the Voodoo Falcon. ( 1963.5 Falcon Sprint - 5.2L Voodoo gt350R motor, cantilever suspension, metal front flare and rear panels for 4" wider track, etc. )

There is a cool hip video project in the works about the garage and the cars coming.. here is a teaser Teaser Clip - Speed Garage

This 20'x60' wall was created by a graffitti artist using only spray cans and all done freehand! insane detail - @SRILART has done a bunch of work for pro athletes, big company building, music stars, etc..

I know this is a older thread, but I'm currently looking for a artist to do some industrial/tagged graffiti like found on train cars and bridges. How did you go about finding a artist? I'm in Michigan

Trying doing a search for 'Detroit street artists'. There seems to be quite a few articles and pages dedicated to this type of art. Something like this can give you the names of known artists...

Which leads you to finding a page like this...

Even if that person was out of your budget, or wasn't interested in your project, they might be able to refer you to someone who would be interested. You could also dig around their social media comments and likes and may find other artists in the area.

That, or you could look around at pages like this and try to make contact with the authors, who might be able to put you in touch with an artist.

Or just head down to a rail yard late at night and find someone spraying.
