Crazy lift question

I see Mohawk has a gauge that you can get on their lifts that shows the weight on the lift.

Could I get a pressure gauge and mount it in line on my lift. And then use a known weight to calibrate it to work?

What kinda gauge would you use?

You could try a liquid filled gauge rated at the max PSI of the hydraulic system and see how it reads with a known weight and then see if it's possible to figure a weight to PSI ratio.
