Creative uses of tools

I just used a granite surface plate to flatten the sides of a recently purchased air hockey puck that was dragging on the table more than it should because of the natural shrinkage of the plastic.



What weird tool use did you have today?

Due to past injuries, my hands are somewhat screwed up. I don't have the grip strength or manual dexterity I once had. I keep two pair of needle nose pliers in a kitchen drawer to assist with many tasks. One pair of 7 inch Kleins and pair of 8 inch Channellock brand. They help me open tough packaging and pick up small objects.

I keep a small pair of flush cuts in my bathroom drawer to trim my toenails...

I have an older HF cordless drill I use as a hand held mixer with a wisk in the chuck, works great for whipping heavy cream
