Pondering on Ryan's creative mid century garage doors thread got me thinking about window security for our manquarium's. Anyone in journal land got creative with a welder & steel to fabricate window security intrusion grilles. Please post your foty's.

It would cost a fortune but some nice thick bullet resistant glass set in a metal frame would certianly make it hard to smash the window out!

I used sections of cheap metal porch railings sold at the bog box stores, it's only light guage metal but it is metal and form the outside it's just obvious bars

Hey Rattlesnake

These we're in the garage when we bought the place. Bolted into the cement on bottom and large wooden beam on top. Not the best welds in the world :) but feels pretty secure.

Sorry the photos I have are not good enough to post here but when I bult I had bars put on the inside of the sheds windows. They just bolt up to the frame work of the building.

On another note where are you located ? I may be able to help you and email you a photo.

Take a look at a cattle panel at a farm supply store. They come in 4 x 16 foot panels. They can be cut and fitted on the inside of a window and they will at least present a challenge. Thieves will look for easier prey as they are basically lazy.
