Once you add shipping and tax, it’s not much of a deal anymore. You can find better deals all day long from usual places

Thanks.
I've already got about a dozen things in my cart... now I've got to add a couple more.
Appreciate the code! 👍🏻

I love Cripe, but I feel these threads make it less likely for their items to be found than individual ones which showcase the specific deal/item.

My favorite deal I’ve found on cripe:

Napa xl metric combo wrench set, $10. These are rebranded Taiwan era gearwrench. Nice moderate anti slip design open ends with no lobster claws. Tough to beat for the price.

Love me some Cripe, plenty of good deals

but YIKES that "new" website might be worse then the old one

Tip- shop the eBay store for better navigating, then swap over if possible

Yessir. Did the exact same thing.

They shorted me a wrench rack in my first order, then tried to charge me shipping (at rates several times what I could have sent it via USPS) after finally agreeing to send it (first saying 2 employees counted the order, it weighed the right amount, etc). Not real impressed there, but have been a Cripe customer for years, so not giving up yet.

Don't tell me this.
I just ordered 67 items and was shorted one as well.
Four email exchanges to try and sort out getting the $2.50 item that weighs maybe 2oz.

I've easily spent over $600 with them in the last two years, but this customer service experience has been a big let down. I'd chalk it up to a loss (it's only $2.50!) but it's the one item that completes a set and now my OCD is kicking in.

That's the thing - they argued it couldn't be missing. Why would I lie to you about a $7 plastic item out of a $120 order? Obviously your two witnesses are either covering each other, or forgot it, or took it for themselves, but who cares - I paid for and didn't get it. Then they tried to charge me more shipping on my subsequent order to include it. I already paid for shipping on it once lol, at well above market rates.

I've spent several hundred at Cripe over the years too but that was pretty disappointing. Only similar experience with the weight thing was Weber grills missing hardware: "Oh, we weigh every box". Well, I doubt your standard is +/- the weight of two screws...

FWIW, Heather came through from Cripe's customer service.
I got my missing item, posted USPS first class, and it showed up yesterday no charge, just an interrogatitive series of emails.

That's who I talked to, too. Glad they helped, but not really a classy way to do customer service in 2022. Especially if 3 members all got shorted in a row...

If you buythrough ebay, you have more recourse.

Prices are the same as the site. I have purchased a significant amount about 8 years ago. Then I had one issue. They eventually made it right, haven't bought from them since. I feel like Heather was the name of the person I worked with back then. I believe it is a family run operation.

^ No, you will not get the discount on ebay, although they will combine shipping if you put the items in the cart and ask them for an invoice.

You will also be paying sales tax on purchases made through ebay.

I am assuming from your comments above that the issue was resolved, right?

Correct, there was no tax on ebay last time I did a transaction with them on ebay.

Just ordered about 60 items. Love the selection (website could be easier to use), the shipping seems pretty high but I feel like I still got some good deals

Perhaps I'm thinking of another site, but they might be one that refund some of the shipping if it is significantly higher than what it actually comes out to.

You have to reach out and ask them to combine the shipping or something like that. I did it once and got a few bucks back.

no no no ... scroll way up in the thread (post #23) I put the instructions up there.... put all the stuff in the CART. ASK FOR AN INVOICE.
they'll be happy to combine shipping. real easy people to deal with.
gotta buy a mess of stuff to save any money though because shipping costs are crazy no matter where you go... same with epstein... same with anybody else....
