Critique my lighting layout

I am trying to figure out a lighting plan for my new 32'x40' shop. Inside dimensions are 31'x39' with 11' walls and 13' at peak due to scissor trusses. I have attached one possible layout from visual 3d. One of my main questions is whether it matters if the lights are mounted parralel to my trusses which would also be parralel to any vehicles in the bays. Or does it matter if the lights are mounted perpendiculor to the trusses and any vehicles in the bays? Also does the 28 two bulb 4' lights seem like enough? The shop will be used for vehicle repair and woodworking. I have also tried to lay this plan out in Dialux but having a very hard time figuring out how to work it. Would anybody on here be willing to help do a layout for me? Thanks for any advice.

If you dont cover the ceiling, then change your ceiling reflectance to 30. If you dont cover the walls, then change your wall reflectance to 20.
If you cover them with a white painted surface, then you can leave them at 80 & 50.
It doesn't matter which way you orient the lights. It wont change anything.

Are you really using fluorescent fixtures?

My plan was to use the generic metal fluorescent fixtures with LED retorfits. But I am currently looking into LED linear lights from Cooper lighting.

I will be covering the walls and ceilings with either drywall painted white or plywood painted white when lumber prices come down.

If you use fixtures with more lumen output you might need fewer fixtures.
Your target of 95 foot candles over the entire 1200 + square foot space is quite a bit of light. That’s great if you want to be able to do fine work every single place in the shop.

You could probably find 4 foot long tubular LED fixtures producing around 5000 lumens and use a 3x5 arrangement. I bet the final result would be in the neighborhood of your desired 95 fc at working height of 2 1/2 feet.
