Critique my lighting plan...

Shop is 40x60x16. There are scissor trusses on the right side over small garage door and man door. The last standard truss is on my 5th row of lights on the right edge of center bay. Being that it is unfinished I wanted to run my main area along the length of trusses. If I continued that over it wouldn't end at equal spacing. Eventually the plan is to do a second floor to make a small studio on right side so those lights would change.

Are the 10 pack of 4500 lumen LED's from Sam's Club online adequate? Pros? Cons? I'd buy 4 sets so I have 5 extra for whatever I see fit.

For those dimensions I suggest highbays. Cheaper and less fixtures. You need more lumens than the sams club stuff.

I'm not crazy about your layout.

What is the expected use? You didn't mention anything zones. I would suggest each bay being on it's own ckt. Have one ckt for what I call 'traverse'...i.e., the first switch you flip to light the way around the garage. At least a 3-way so you can turn it on/off from 2 different places.

Depending on use, I would set up the lights so it lights the sides of vehicles. Putting lights over the center of the bay is only good if the work is being done in the center.

My free opinion: I think you are underlighted with a 10 pack of 4 foot "2-tube" fixtures in a 2400sf building.

I put 20 of roughly the same fixture into a 1100sf building. I personally think its well-lit when all are running.

I have six Highbay fixtures that have 6 t8 in a 450 ft.² shop with 9' ceilings. Mine have a mirror finish reflective backing. I run 4 bulbs with 6500 and 2 bulbs 4000 in each fixture. I pick mine up when Homedepot had them on clearance from $174 to $41.

This will yield about 37fc at 30" workplane. Fine for storage, but not much else.
