I am getting ready to put up a 80x60 shop/storage barn. I plan on putting a partition wall up near the center of the building creating a 34'x60' heated shop and a 46'x60 cold storage area. I

I have attached a door layout as well as a diagram showing how I would utilize the building. I would love some constructive criticism!

Nice set up! I've got one 18x12 door and a 12x12 door on my 46 wide shed with a 14ft sidewall just to give you reference to my opinion. Your shop side has perfect sized end caps and the 18ft wide door will be appreciated. Regarding the storage area side, even at 18ft doors, with the size of trailers and wide pontoons you'll have, I'd recommend two, 20ft wide doors instead and make the ends 2ft vs. the 4ft. Just my two cents.
However, unless it was an aesthetic thing and you wanted all the doors the same size then 18s will be fine too. Unless you make them all 20ft? Either way, looks like a nice layout!

Also, not sure what climate you deal with, but I have my doors on the eve side as well with only a 14ft side wall and I have 3ft overhangs on the eve's for snow and rain. I have gutters and still wish I would have done 4ft.

I have a 14x14 garage door and back up my 5th wheel and truck into my barn easy. I would rather have the wall space. If you plan to climate control garage those doors are the biggest air loss. Im struggling with my 14x14 with heat loss.

A few thoughts from what I have learned from using my 40’ X 60’ X 12’ shop over the past 3 years. My layout is similar to yours, partitioned down the middle with fabrication and lift on right side and storage on left. I put one man door in partition toward front and wish I had a second door toward the back. My fab side is heated, but not yet cooled. I realized last summer that the fab side is typically 7* warmer than the storage side. I now wish I had thought more about this in the design phase. Your driveway layout may determine your storage side with regard to backing trailers etc. Good luck.

Maybe you don't own enough land in back, but a drive through door would really be nice in the cold storage area.

facing directions, natural light, prevailing winds, passive ventilation or temp controls? ground frost, insulation under the slab in the shop portion? plumbing? radiant? upgrade over time, build some key conduits to facilitate improvements later?

Thanks for your thoughts! I am in NW Ohio. The doors will be facing the south, so drifting snow should not be too much of a concern. 18' wide doors is the widest available to me by the installer.

Do you own the red outlined area?

Yes, I do.

There are a lot of inquiries on this forum about how to install a mezzanine. If this may be a possibility then plan for it now and get the basic support structure in now. In my split building I put the electrical panel in the dividing wall as this makes running wires to either side easier.

Any thoughts to putting a smaller 10x9 door out the back, facing north, of the heated shop side for your UTV, small tractors, skidsteers, mowers, etc.?
