Gearing up to move cross-country.
Bought a used 2 post lift about 2 years ago. Then found out county regulations made building a shop impossible. Then the county denied my electrical permit for outdoors install. So its been sitting outside for 2 years.
Needless to say its all rusting. Now I know shops have 2 post lifts outdoors all the time. Would surface rust render it dangerous to use? Of course the arm carriages would need new bearings.
I'm debating on what to do with it. Don't think it'd be worth it to ship and sit around another year until I can have a shop built where I'm moving to. So I thought about selling it, which is why I am asking about the rust.
Or would it be best to just take it in for the scrap value and sell the pump seperate?
Thanks for any advice you can give.
