Crown top carpenter box question

I'm fixing up a 6517 crown top box for my dad for Father's Day. Could anyone tell me the age of this box? Thanks guys

Craftsman Crown? If so then 70's since that is when they used the crown top.

Not surprised, boxes tend to be alot harder to date and get info about, with tools you can get pretty accurate for example look at the craftsman date code thread that is a billion pages long.

Yea, just save it to your computer and name it CRAFTSMAN DATE LOGOS

I did that for SO and Cman...easy to search for as well.
