I’ve used some of the guys crows feet at work
and some seem to come off easier with the possibility
of getting lost. Anybody Not have this problem with
their brand?

Order a set of the new US Tektons and report back. Haven't seen feedback on them yet so you can be the test mule

Are you talking flare crowfeet or regular open end crowfeet?

For flare type, Snap on has no equal.

For regular open end, if they're coming off of the drive tool easily, they probably don't have either a single hole on one side, or a cutout on all four sides of the female square drive portion for the spring loaded ball on the extension/drive tool to engage.

Many lower cost crowfeet are smooth on all fours sides of the square drive portion, stay away from those.

For some reason a lot of brands don't scallop out the side walls for the detent to sit into. Most just drill a single hole or have nothing at all. I think Snap-on scallops all 4 corners but the downer is they switched to an etching. Icon has some out but I didn't look at them closely.

Has anyone used the Icon's? Looking at their pictures it looks like they have a detent. Without bashing I'll just say that I am not a Harbor Freight shopper. One of the biggest reasons is poor fitment in some of their tools. I'd like to know more about that.

The Tekton's are still yet to be released. Not sure if I'll hold out for them or not.

crows feet are something I wont skimp on.

when I reach for one, I have to know it's not going to slip, spread or break.

all of mine are SO, mostly 3/8" dr for really tight spots...

cant recall ever breaking one in 35 years...

It shouldn't make that much of a difference for the open end type. It's for the flare type that some might be stronger than others.

I have the Neiko sets in both SAE & metric and I love them.

I've put some good torque on the metric ones including light impact gun use removing a stubborn O2 sensor and they held up fine.

HOLY SMOKES! Did I just hear that? Am I dreaming?

No. However, it may be time to update your meds again :wtf:

I have always said that for anything flare, Snap-on is king. Everything else aside from those gold heavy duty torx bits, is a matter of personal choice.
