I saw some crowsfoot wrench at the flea market the other day and was wondering what it is good for?

Do you use it with breaker bars? Or is it used to reach hard to reach places in with a ratchet and extensions?

What should I look out for when I need to bu a set?

Have no clue really. Can someone here school me?

Ah. A crowsfoot. Brings back hellish flashbacks about the time I went to change out a power steering line on my kid's Ford Contour - AND I DIDN'T HAVE MINE!!!!! I swear to GOD they hovered that ps pump in mid air, and built the car around it!!!! A horrific experience. If you wrench, even if not for a living, get a set.

I'll hopefully save you a bit of reading in the posts above...

Basically they are used most frequently to access areas where you couldn't normally reach with a socket, a wrench, etc.

Another pretty common use is to use them on a torque wrench for nuts on lines if you want to torque them. Make sure you put them 90 degrees to the motion on your torque wrench or account for the added length.

I'd recommend getting a set that is like a flare wrench, rather than a typical open end wrench. Flare wrenches are the one tool that the consensus seems to be that you need to buy a high quality version as the jaws on the cheaper ones tend to open up under torque. I would assume the crowsfeet would have the same issue.
