Does anyone know if Cryer Tools is still in business? I've been trying to get in touch with them and they do not answer their e-mails. I made an order in early March and got everything but a 10mm wrench. They said they were moving and would send it in April. Then I e-mailed them again late April or early May, and they said they were still unpacking. I've e-mailed them a few more times and there have been no replies. It's only a $2.40 wrench but it's almost July and no one is talking with me.

I made an order a few months ago and took a month and a half to get my sockets. Didn't even send an order confirmation, had to rely on my PayPal order number to chase them now. They missed a few sockets in my order, resent them, still missed a few and I gave up on them and trying to hunt down toptul

Thanks for that. I have a cart with a bunch of wrenches in it. I'll reconsider that now.

Chris from Cryer Tools was on GJ I tried to send him a message here but got no reply. My first order went through without any problems, the next order was just missing one wrench. I was going to send in an order for some sockets but after they said they were moving I thought I'd wait and see when they got done and sent me the wrench. It was nice to order from them because you didn't have to buy sets. I hope things work out for them and they can start back up again.

I've placed a couple orders with them and everything went as expected. Both orders were complete, shipped and arrived fast.

That's not to dispute anyone else's experience. I just figure people are more likely to post about problems than successes, so it's only fair to report when things go well.

However, also in fairness, I've had mixed results with messages. I needed some other tools not found in their online catalogue and sent a FB message (since they were regularly posting on their page at the time). The response just said to sent an email. I did - never got a reply. I called and spoke to someone on the phone, but the person, though friendly and obviously trying to help, couldn't answer all of them and suggested I send an email. I did and again didn't get a reply.

I wonder if maybe small retail orders aren't their core business. If it is, I can't imagine they would do very well because their offerings are pretty narrow and it's hard to communicate with them. I was trying to give them more money and just ended up placing the order elsewhere. I am still willing to try again though, based on my first two experiences. The prices are very reasonable. Just bear in mind that customer service might not be their strong point.

Well they are asking (sort of begging) me to get back in the business but so far I've fought that idea off. If your "substantial order" is over $5,000 and you're willing to drive a truck over to Phoenix to pick it up I could help you out.

I really didn't have any real problems with my orders with Cryer Tools. They forgot one wrench in an order, no big thing and it sounded like they were going to make it right before things fell apart. I wonder if they are still taking orders as their website is still up.

chasing after Toptul in the US makes no sense to me; Toptul clearly doesn't give AF about the US market.
Buying Toptul through Cryer was worthwhile because they sold individual wrenches and sockets for fairly low prices. I really liked it since it made kitting out vehicles and farm equipment easy because I could just buy the sizes I needed vs. buying whole sets that usually cost more or didn't have the right size range. It also helped that the wrenches are fairly nice for no more than they cost.

I always had good buying experiences through them, but I haven't made a purchase in about a year. Then they started running out of certain things I wanted and when I would send emails asking if they would get more in, I never heard back. That made hold off on more orders. Shame since it was a good deal while it was going.

I have had good luck with orders in the past - always received everything even though there was no communication whatsoever. Today I called about a recent order and whoever answered sounded confused/surprised. He hung up on me as soon as I said I was looking for Cryer Tool.

It's a shame to see them go. The tools are very nice and in my opinion a superb value at the prices they were selling them for.
