I recently saw a used one at a used tool store for $250, but it had already been sold. The front of the chest was sloped from very deep at the bottom to narrow at the top. I think the chest was about 42" wide. I have never seen a box made like that before, but it did appear to be a well made chest.

Been looking at this chest for what seems like years. Traveling though Memphis yesterday picked up the 41". Was concerned with the 5 hour drive home. Unpacked it last night looks great! With the Costco membership and tax it came to about $800.

Locally we have Sam’s Clubs (which I currently am a member) with the similar chest. The Sam’s version has the cross hatched drawer face. I personally like the looks of the Costco chest better. Although it would have been more convenient and more cost effective, I'm very happy with my purchase.

There appears to have 2 version of the box one has split drawers on the bottom and one have just single wide drawers on the bottom

The current offering are single wide drawers on the bottom cart
What do you think is better and why?

BTW the price creeped up to $799 for a while and back down to $749 now.

I bought one of those 41" at Costco in Seattle last year . It was the floor / demo model and had several scratches and dents . I beat them down to $400.00 for it .

I have a chance to pick up a floor model for $850.00

I have a chance to pick up a floor model for $850.00. It is the 56" model. Is that a good deal?

If I'm not mistaken, I've seen the same model on sale last year for that same price. (849.99). Try and see if you can talk them down a lil more.

Went to the Costco in Davie, FL while visiting. Found the small one, asked the manager about the availability of the 56". They said that they don't carry it anymore, but may be able to order it. After turning the corner to the next aisle, what do I find? Two 56" boxes, brand new. $999. Now to find a way to get it back to Canada...

Well, I guess that is the standard phrase ("we don't carry it anymore") store mangers say these days to try to disguise their ignorance of their store and product line; it takes less energy than him going to a computer or calling someone. The sad thing is he will probably be promoted to district manger for COSTCO some day....

i bought the costco box and was disappointed that in the cold the rubbers that keep the drawers from sliding out make it damn near impossible to open without almost tipping the box[i know, add more tools,uh duh] look for boxes that have latches instead of the rubbers.

Hi all.Im stuck in the uk and pay a ridiculous amount of money for tools, but being a full time tech put up with it as they earn me a crust. thing is i need a new box . got a snapon stack which is now taty and to small. i know a budget box probably wont match the old one but the 41 stainless csps box looks pretty good from the pics .seems to be a lot of different oppinions on quality as to when and where they are built . has anyone bought 1 recently and used it every day. hows it lasting up .

They had them in stock the last time I was at Costco--a couple weeks ago. In fact, I've seen them every time I've been since I purchased mine.

Thanks for that. I checked the Costco in downtown SF today and nothing. I will run down to S. San Francisco tomorrow.

It is interesting their web site only shows the 21".

Thanks again.

I visited the El Camino store two weeks ago and saw one there (they're pretty hard to miss); I was at the Airport store right after Christmas, and I'm pretty sure I saw one there also.

Good luck!

The ones I saw in the Ft Lauderdale (Davie) store at xmas were the plain front. I know Sam's has the diamond plate - is that what you are thinking of?

Are you sure on the size when you are comparing those prices? The 41" usually retails for $650, and the 56" for $999...

I bought mine probable...?????.....3 years ago at Sams Club in Boardman, Ohio and paid with tax, out the door, $700 and a few pennies. I'm just a hobbiest, but I have no regrets and I will have to agree with you guys, I'm not too crazy with the diamond plate front tool chests that they now sell. They really look cheep.

And I'd have to agree with the rest of you guys that the diamond plate front ones they now sell are not nearly as nice. Just a opinion. A 16 drawer and I think it is a 41" but I'm at work.

My Local Costco just got in a few CSPS boxes. These are 17 drawer models and are black powder coat with a stainless lid. The inside of the lid is mirror finish.

They have the plastic side locks on each drawer.

Price is $559.. I will take a picture next time. I'm really tempted to pick on up. Seems like a smoking deal. Sears had a 21 drawer model on sale for $999 today. A little bigger but almost double in cost.

I've had the 41" CSPS since late last year and it's definitely one of the purchases I've ever made. I believe it was $799 when I purchased it, and it even came with pre-cut drawer liners. Best value in the business if you ask me. I do the occasional wrenching on my cars, and thus far it's only about 75% filled.

This is the one I saw at Costco.. but now it's in black powder paint and the side handles are rescessed. Also, the lower right drawer on the top box has a seperate lock. The top is still stainless.

At the price I think I will pick one up.

Well, after my recent GearWrench shopping spree at Sears, it appears as if my box is almost completely filled now. I'd really like to pick up another box identical to the one I posted above. Has anybody in the So Cal area seen this exact box for sale anywhere?

Local Costco has a 56" black "wrinkle" finish upper and lower Torin for $999. Seems like a real good price. I believe it is the same Torin Northern Tool has in their catalog for $1099???...for the BOTTOM unit only...I think it is $1600 for both top and bottom.

Anyone else looked at this Torin at Costco? Thanks Tom R

Has anyone Ordered one Latley?

I just ordered this unit from Costco --- Has anyone received one of these in the past month. I'm curious if its the same unit as folks were getting months back and if it comes with liners pre-cut?

From the PIC it appears the LOGO is not on since its being sold as a Trinity.

I just noticed they posted the Excel 42 inch for 999 - Does anyone have any experience with this - curious how it compares to the Trinity 41 -
