I installed a new gas direct vent fireplace, and am running the gas to it in CSST, from my black Iron main line. This will run from my basement to the 1st floor. The run is approximately 10'. 2 questions-
1) My gas line is already bonded, do I also need to bond the CSST separately? I think 1 bond in the system is enough per the instructions, but wanted to verify if the csst needs an additional bond.
2) Since this is a fireplace and needs human interaction to fire (unlike a water heater or furnace), do I need to have a sediment trap before it goes into the unit? I'm struggling with the placement of a trap, as that would negate the benefit of using csst for the run.
