CT416 ARC/TIG/Plasma Cutter

I bought a Chinense CT416 ARC/TIG/Plasma Cutter, looks ok, but like we all know, if a Chinese machina starts, you have 80% of the work done. Well, this almost neither start!!!

I dont like to start a Chinese or not Chinese discussion, just like to share experiences for this failure.

I plug the machine in, turn it on, and the fan started to run (in ARC). Then moved the switch to plasma, but when move back to arc, I heard a "click" and smells a burned part.
I remove the cover, turn it on again, and one small part started to burning.

I try to avoid to send the machine back to UK where I bought it (I live in Chile), so will just sent the damaged board and they will bring a new one back to me.

The question is?

Do some have a similar failure? and Do you thing that switching the board should be enough or another board could be causing the problem????

Maybe try these guys Longevity, they sell a 416 machine, maybe it's the same board.

As a rule in electronics .. parts don't fail alone. Perhaps this one part was defective ... or (if you're lucky) the defective part that blew it was also on that card. But ...?

Long time no write, but the problem still the same.

I receive a new board, but has some extra components that are not in the old one. I plug all parts, but the device do not have the HF start, just the arc weld is working.-

In mh case was totatly burned, all 3 boards. I bought another one

Hoping anyone can diagnose this on a forum without being able to actually see and touch is quite a long shot. Best chance you have is finding someone near you that has some knowledge/experience repairing welders, if not then electronics. Without being able to actually test components any advice is a wild guess.
