Hi all. I am a cultures stone noob doing a small 80 sq ft project, (front of my garage) and went to a building supply place and they told me to use Type S for Scratch, Stick and Grout. I bought it and I'm mixing 1 part S, three types sand as they told me. Scratch coat went up today on wire. I plan on sticking tomorrow. Now I'm afraid I should've purchased Type N because some say S don't stick as good? Can I butter stone with N and stick it to the S scratch coat, or do you think I'll be ok? Also do I wet both scratch coat and stone before sticking?
Also, my wife wants a lighter different color grout than what my Scratch and Stick is. My stones are mostly round, 4-8 inches, and should be a 1 inch grout around them. Should I stick with colored stuff too? So many questions. Thanks in advance!
