Whenever I look under "What's Going On' at the Current Active Users on GJ there are usually about 1/3 more guests than members viewing the board. Right now the count is 502 (212 members and 290 guests) I wonder if we have more lurkers than members or members that didn't feel like logging on. Is this a normal thing for sites such as this one?
I have to admit that I didn't become an active member for about 3 years after I registered [can't see most pic's unless you register] and lurked all the time.

I lurked here for about a month (found the site from a 4BT diesel conversion site)--I wanted to read the posts and get a feel for GJ first.

Was pretty active on a big VW forum--but over the years it has become more and more guys signing up with questions like, "I just got my DL and first car. How easy is it to swap a Porsche 928 engine into my 94 Jetta? How do I do this? Oh and how do I open the hood on my car?"

Or similar posts like the following, translated to reality, "my car is a POS because I spent hundreds on just replacing parts on my car without pulling codes, or doing any logical diagnostic work, and the problem still isn't fixed, and I'll never buy any of these cars ever again..."

*SIGH*

I really like it here.

Geoff
