Jon, I'm curious: Is your truck wearing original Omaha Orange? If so, it looks to be in great condition other than being oxidized. I bet a light color sand with like 2000 grit, polish and wax it would look truly great! What are you doing to it? Are you on the 67-72ChevyTrucks.com subform for '47-'59 trucks?

Dan, as I remember, we used a 1976 Corvette red/orange on the '51. It was a Dupont Centari enamel with the 2000 pak gloss hardener added. It was the first time my son or I had ever painted an auto. We learned a bunch! I'm not sure what color we will end up with this time.
I'm not part of that group, but will get involved soon. Thanks for the info.
