I just tossed a 35 year old, well worn set of Snap On screwdrivers and bought a set of Williams. I like 'em.

I'd like to say thanks for the SunFlag driver set recommendation. I bought the last set available and while I am pleased enough with the drivers themselves, I am more surprised by the fact that they have proven that the stainless "phillips" sheet metal screws that Fastenal fills our bolt bins with are in fact JIS.

Comparing the fit between a new SnapOn #1 phillips and the #1 JIS is a night and day difference. We always just thought the screws sucked.
+1 on the Sunflag drivers. They have made it up a notch to the “quick grab” side of the beater basement toolbox for that reason:

How are these? I had the chance to buy a set at Blowes last week, but held off because the handles look like bloated roadkill.
I stopped in (this evening) and I intended to buy a set but the handles looked huge and hard. Would need to open them to find out so I did not buy them.

So, his so they feel in your hand? How hard / soft? .... Anything you can think of.

They are very good. The grip fits my hand very well. The large PH4 really lets you put some torque into it, if you can find a fastener to try it on. I tend to like squarish handles, and Proto Duratech or whatever they are called. It’s a personal fit of course. It’s $20 for high end screwdrivers. Treat yourself. They make good Christmas gifts too, so if you don’t like them, someone will.
Does the #4 have a larger handle than the others?

I may have missed the details, but which particular style did you get?

I'm guessing first image as I don't think you mentioned composite handle material.
I went for the 2nd style earlier this week and I'm hoping they show up as fast as yours!

Yes, I bought the first style. Yes, the set isn't "officially" sold here and they were rather expensive - it works out to about $15 a driver with shipping, or you can buy them individually on Amazon for $15-20 apiece if you only want one or a few - but I was hoping that this would be one of those things that'd be worth it. I like that they're through tang; that could be a good feature if you need to persuade a stubborn, rusted screw. If I don't have to replace any of them they'll be worth it as I anticipate I'll be using screwdrivers for decades to come.

If it weren't for the handle material, those would be perfect for me. I can see why people like them.

What's wrong with the handle material?

I've had mine for a couple of years and they are holding up great, very comfortable good grip and easy to keep clean.

I've had Snap-On hard handles and Instinct grips before these, but don't rate them as good as the Vessels 🤐

^ lot of misconceptions about the handles. they are not what they appear to be in photos. same with the ball grips. (and the ball grips are NOT difficult to clean.)
