I spent the day today filling up my 60 gal air compressor tank with water and finally figured out how to pump some pressure into it (12 hrs later).
My tank has a Max WP of 150psi it is a ASME certified tank built in 1985.
After pumping, and pumping then pumping some more I have my tank filled with 235psi of lovely H2O. My arms feel like jello, and it was intense work out so I stopped at 235psi.
Everything seems to be holding nicely, no pin hole leaks, so far I have kept pressure at 235psi for about 10 min.
How long should I hold the pressure? I read online an hour should test the tank sufficiently.
Also if the tank can hold 235psi without a problem, am I safe running my 2 Stage pump to 145-150psi in it?
