I posted these up in the new tools but I thought I'd give them their own thread and I also made a completely horrendous how-to video that I posted on YouTube.

Feel free to critique my video but make it a little more helpful than "It sucked." It was my first shot at making a how-to so the video angle needs help and so does the sound. Next time I may also make some kind of loose script.

I also have it in the video description. Something like three bucks on eBay. Most of the ones I find at the store are a 1/4" shank which doesn't seem big enough to me. It probably is but bigger is better although I'd really like to find a more streamlined smaller head diameter chuck.

Used an old Xcelite driver handle with a short 1/4" square extension to counterbalance it at the **** end.

It was more of a nostalgia project so I could continue to use the handle that I've had for 40+ years.

I was looking at that Bosch chuck, the only reason I didn't go with it was I didn't want the brand name so obvious. Bosch are great tools but I was trying to play down anything but S-O on it. Silly but true, not to mention I did have the original Lennox laying in a toolbox drawer.

Great idea. They look cool too. Unfortunately couldn't hear anything on the vid, but got the general process.

Would suggest a good, cheap lavalier mic for vids when you want your voice to be clear above other noises.

I ordered some more quick change chucks that came in today. Two more of the Lenox that I started with and two Bosch 49500 chucks that I think I like even better. I had an old Stanley screwdriver handle laying around and it didn’t move out of the way fast enough so it got the treatment. Haha
