This is the one I built in my high school shop. It works out quite well for us. In the middle you can see a stop block that mounts on the center fence piece and has adhesives rules that read right to left or left to right depending on the saw.

I like that fence setup and stop. Where did you get the stop for it?

Just came across this thread and thought I'd add mine in case it helps. It has evolved a little since the pics were taken. Dust collector has also been added. Built out of a pair of 20' floor joists on top of homemade storage drawers.

I see nobody sells their old saws when they get a new one!

Hi, I'm new to the garage journal but not to garages. Anyhow I've been lurking on the site for a while and this miter saw station post caught my attention.

I just finished this last week. It has been a plan sitting in the back of my mind for quite a while...

Different tools for different jobs. (Besides, I almost never sell my old tools. Still using the Skilsaw,Milwaukee router and screwgun, and sawzall I purchased 29 years ago for my first job in this business.)

Here is my "custom" Miter saw "bench." With a Harbor Freight coupon, I got the cart for around 60 dollars. Now I just wheel it outside and keep the sawdust out there. Makes it handy to move closer to a project as well.

The drawer houses the extra blades, speed square, pencils.... you know: drawer stuff.

Edit: Picture didn't load.....working on it.

Edit #2: I am horrible at uploading pictures.

Check old issues of Fine Homebuilding. They had fold up that I used but changed the legs to use fold up table legs. I used to do millwork and trim installs with long runs,so it worked well and was easy to transport.
I prefer everything to be moveable so I'm not locked into a location.
