That's just killer!. Is this for you or do you build one off items for others and if so I gotta as what would something like that go for?. Also where did you get the arms (the part that hits the ball), those are slick.

Built it for a for a friend. Over $5K in materials alone.

The players are aluminum and counter balanced with the head nuts so the players can be placed into a horizontal or any position without blocking the field of play. Mainly one on one play.

Here is the youtube link on water jet cutting of players;

That's sick! I wondered about the assembly being heavy and how difficult rotation and control might be but it's very obvious you did your homework. I am insanely impressed bud. :bowdown:

Thanks!

it weighs 480 lbs.

Maybe you should start building pinball machines too. At least you wouldn't need to deal with having a tilt problem. :bounce:

lol thanks!

When he told me he wanted a custom table, I insisted that it be built to tournament foosball specifications, heights, player dims, goals, rod centers etc. Unfortunately, since regular foosball players are plastic and weigh 63 grams, I was unable to build the custom players to that weight. Identical dimensions otherwise.

The plastic rod bearings, rods and pins are OEM replacement parts from the Tornado T3000 tournament table. The owner can remove these custom men and install the plastic tournament men if he ever chooses to.

No pinball! yet, lol.

Here's a shuffleboard table frame I built;

So I just checked out the shuffle board build. I only have two comments other then you sir are a rockstar!. :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

So with that azzkissing out of the way #1, you obviously don't build anything that could go in a raised foundation house and #2, when you're doing a vertical weld I've found starting and the top and dragging down will give you a nice bead and not ball up on ya. :bounce:

Neither of these are your first trip around the block. What other kind of stuff have you built that got you going down this road into one off toys. :beer:

lol, if you're referring to the shuffleboard end caps, I did that on purpose. Shortly afterward I regretted it. I knew I was going to grind the cap welds off at the beginning. I usually have to keep filling in the pits. So I mades sure I gobbed a bunch on the first time. lol

I've built a lot of ****, no car yet though. Maybe next project if I build a new house with a bigger garage.

hmm, did you mention beer?

One more question... How big are your Nuts? No no... I'm talking about the ones on the sides that got the rod bushings...

Those 16) nuts are cut out of 1 1/4" flat plate. Took the water jet 4 1/2 hours to cut them out. I chamfered the corners with a grinder. 4" across.

That thing looks awesome but it also seems like it would be a terrifyingly efficient shin, knee and thigh detector. :shocking:

I would love to have that. My dad still has the table he bought us as kids. We play occasionally. That would be an awesome present and would fit in his basement design very well. Too bad it is just a one off..

A***: did you buy or make the wood handles? very nice work and i think i remember you posting this somewhere else and i was thinking if it had a 1 inch steel top it would be a helluva vise stand or workbench.

do you want to say how long it took you to make or did you mention that already?

WELL DONE SIR!!

Those handles are OEM Tornado T3000 handles that are white maple. Not the best quality pieces IMO. I just had to sand, seal and stain those, as purchased and requested by the owner.

No 1" steel top? The actual play field is 5/8" aluminum with a vinyl car wrap applied. The table is suspended off of the bottom frame and can be independently leveled, separate from the frame.

Started July 2016 and finished early December, except for the vinyl wrap. Worked on the table every free weekend. Had a few delays waiting on water jet cutter scheduling.

Missed early December delivery due to Holidays and vacations. Just got back from driving the table to Breckenridge, set up, a little partying and returned.

A**: no i meant to put a 1 inch steel plate top on the table when not in use so it could double as a workbench. just kidding and i bet the new owner loves it sitting in his rec room.

that is officially a GJ type of game table. :bowdown:

i can hardly wait to see what your PING PONG table looks like if you decide to build one.

Oh, sorry, and good idea for us GJ folks! If the owner would have wanted that 1" table top, I would have provided it, lolol.

Yes, the house is gorgeous with a lot of other custom touches throughout.

The owner has kids and the regular MDF constructed tables wouldn't hold up to the abuse. He has gone though a couple of tables and just decided on one that was a bit more robust. :lol:

Hmmmm, ping pong, hmmmm. :lol:

I had those cheap, stock, plastic strips on my stock runners. The plastic push through tabs started snapping off as I rotated my foot on them, plus they are slick as heck.

There are three sets of panels that make up on set or side of steps. I had the individual grates cut on a CNC plasma. I bent the bracket straps to the contour of the runner. Welded the individual grates to the straps and drilled holes in the straps to match the holes where the plastic tabs were.

These have literally saved my azz over the past couple of years., lol.
