This is a custom Tig Pedal i made for my Lincoln 350mp since i bought it without a pedal. After looking up pedal replacements and thinking how crazy high priced they are for just some molded plastic cases.

Looks pretty awesome. My tig is a china tig and they have those cruddy "pedals" which are horrible and have the adjustment knob on them which... is a cool idea if it worked correctly. I ended up finding a Miller pedal for $100 used and just rewired it. However, didnt get to use it because I needed the money badly and ended up selling the pedal along with some other stuff. Would love to know how you made yours. I have an idea but the look of it wouldnt be the same as yours. wonderful job

Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing some details as well. I'm planning on getting an AHP 200x and I would also like to swap out the odd foot pedal.

This looks really nice!

Ill take some more pics of it when i get back in the garage.

Definitely took a good bit of research to figure out the correct capacitors to add and change the potentiometer out plus source the proper connecter.

Ill have to dig up the info been meaning to post this up for awhile so have to track down a few things.

Wireless pedals are already made but man they are pricey.

I hadn't thought about a wireless pedal in a while i probably could make a wireless version of these ill have to look into that.

It was a guitar pedal. I gutted the electronics and installed my own stuff for it to work correctly with a welder.

How much $$$ do you think you have in that custom pedal? I like it and would love to have the knowledge to build one.

Looks good and a great re-purposing project. So how much does the guitar pedal cost originally? and what is the costs of the parts you had to put into it? This will determine if if this the way to go for others to save on buying a pedal made for their machine.

I would like to build one if it is small and the price is right, can ya post a few pictures of it next to a soda can for reference on size please.

Is the Lincoln 350mp DC only?

My TIG pedal for doing AC TIG for aluminum came from The SSC Controls Company.
http://ssccontrols.com/ and the best part: SSC is a USA manufacturer :) 150 bucks through Everlast welders shipped from SSC.

No plastic housing on their TIG pedals. They take care of the hard work for ya, getting the right plug, matching the potentiometer to the welding machine, and its all ready to go when ya get it.

Thanks for the complements.

I think it roughly cost my $90.

Yeah the 350mp is only dc.
I need to pick me up a AC tig welder.

I looked into there stuff definitely good quality.

This pedal is about a foot long.

They make smaller pedals you could use.

Ill try to get the info up here soon.
