This a a super cool display board from a driving school in Germany. This is a working cutaway model of a hydraulic braking system with a hand brake. The master cylinder, drum and brake cylinder is cutaway to show internal workings.
The drum spins by hand, apply either the foot pedal or the parking brake to apply the brakes and stop the drum. There is a vintage Varta 6V battery mounted inside that powers the brake light. I have not changed out the battery to test the circuit since the old battery is also very cool.
This box appears to be a varnished Birch and has nice patina. The metal label tags have German text for the manufacturer of the model and the description. This would look awesome hanging on the wall of a garage, shop or office.
