Cutters Edge is a brand of saw marketed to fire departments for cutting roof ventilation openings through asphalt, wood and light metal roofs. They used big jonsered chainsaw heads with a large carbide tipped chain. The bar has a hole for a depth guard/chain cover. They are expensive when new, high quality, but the chain is cutters edge specific and usually sent back to them for sharpening. I prefer a competitors saw for a different depth guard, but they are a well regarded saw. They call the cutters edge chain a bullet chain to prevent breaking tips on nails. Jonsered could probably help you find a new drive socket, bar and chain to make it a regular saw again. You could sell it or donate it to a fire department. That chain will cut wood, but it has compromises to allow it to cut through other materials so it is not as fast as a chisel chain. Enjoy the saw or send it to me.
