Cutting aluminum studs with aviation snips

I need to cut a few studs for my bathroom Reno. I have regular tin snips (first pic) but I find cutting out existing studs is tricky because the snips can't "turn the corner". Will the long snips (2nd pic) be able to handle the job?

Just nip the two smaller legs and score across the wider body and work back and forth till it snaps.

Aluminum stud? Are you sure you don't have galv stud like used in typical commercial partition walls? If that's what you got just get the straight cut (yellow handle) set. With the web of the stud facing you cut the two returns then just open it up enough to get the body and head of the snips in there and as you cut across squeeze and roll the stud with the hand you're holding it with. Kinda of hard to explain but you'll get it.

cut a relief notch on the "waste" side and you can turn the corner no problem.
